Retail Software Business Analyst


The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of BA software implementation experience and/or operational experience preferably within Retail Service Management and Point of Sale solutions. The candidate requires a well rounded skill set with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and a get the job done type of attitude. Industry experience in the wireless or electronics markets is preferred, but not required.

  • Works with clients to identify, correct, and advise on how to align business objectives within our software solution set
  • Prepares written business requirements, specifications, and process/workflow documentation
  • Performs hands on software setup and configuration tasks in conjunction with new customer implementations and change management
  • Documents customer requested software improvements and communicates those needs to the development team
  • Participates in development and delivery of customer training
  • Performs Quality Assurance and regression testing as required
  • Consults with client and staff and advocates for solution recommendations and value added opportunities.
  • Performs quality assurance testing when required
  • Coordinates user acceptance testing and issue resolution with the development team
  • Provides software application training using a train the trainer type approach


Education and Work Experience

  • Industry experience and background in retail sales and repair operations is a plus
  • Industry experience and background in wireless or consumer electronics is a plus
  • Possesses working knowledge of web technologies, web application development methodologies, and enterprise solution design and development
  • Experience preferred with systems integration via web services is a plus
  • Understands and can assist in high-level technical design specifications
  • MS Office and Google Docs proficiency
  • Issue/Task management tools proficiency, such as JIRA and Zendesk
